There is a wide range of camping holiday options locally, in the EU and outside. In the EU , camping Netherlands , Spain, France and Belgium are popular options. Finding a perfect campsite can be daunting if you’re new to camping, but even for the experienced it can be a challenge.

Decide what you are looking for

If this is your first time camping, make a list of what you want from the campsite. Maybe ask friends and family at this camp to get some ideas.

In a modern quality camping park you can expect all or some of the following:

Modern, modern facilities with flooring and/or central heating in the showers and toilets

Washing machines, tumble dryers, irons, etc.

Sink, microwaves, refrigerator, freezer

Play areas

Often a separate playground for children under 5 and another for older children

Table tennis, bowling alley, pool table, air hockey, television, etc.

Facilities for very young children

Your kids are never too young to go camping when you choose a park with the right facilities.

Park shop

This can be a convenience for candy, beer, wine, ice cream and the little necessities we forget, or a well-stocked convenience store. Most parks sell fresh bread and newspapers.

Food in or out

Restaurant or cafe nearby as well as close to local takeaways.

Swimming pool

Indoor and/or outdoor pools can be nice at certain times of the year, although they are often very small and crowded in high season.
Entertainment – Many parks have bars, bingo and discos on site, while others are more focused on a quiet, peaceful and relaxing environment.
